RYAN Insurance Defense Civil and Criminal Trials Barry Ryan joined the firm in 1985 and has a broad criminal and civil trial practice, including both plaintiff and defense matters. Between college and law school, he played professional hockey for the Springfield Indians of the American Hockey League, and he remains active in senior leagues and youth instructional programs. He is involved in Dartmouth alumni activities, is on the board of directors of the Hampden County Bar Association, and volunteers for the Western Massachusetts Volunteer Lawyers Service, which provides free legal representation to indigent clients, and is a member of the Springfield Lodge of Elks and the East Longmeadow Knights of Columbus.
